Smudging the Azalea ~ Wordless Wednesday

Which photo is the artier of the two?  I captured a photo of this azalea just at dusk, right before the rain started yesterday.  Since Picnik is no longer available I've been using PicMonkey to edit my photos.  Other than a little cropping, there are no special effects on this first shot.

Then I had a little fun with the editing.  This effect is called smudging.  I kind of like it.

Tammy, thanks. I like the first one for most things and could look at it longer.

Roger...no big deal...we have white azaleas, flame azaleas, red azaleas...

Hi Mona,

Yes smudging is very interesting and it makes it look like an oil painting almost. Thanks for the lesson.

I love the "smudged" one... it looks like it is fabric!!  I am also a fan of non touched photos :)

Thanks Kristin, it's fun to play around with the effects.

Sheila, We went to a business after hours today at a gallery and the photographer prints his photos to fabric.  They were pretty fabulous.
