Too busy to blog? Try this little trick...

We all hit that point where time is so short we can't take the time to sit down and write something.  Perhaps we just need to put something out there so our readers know we're still writing.  Here's a tip:  Just talk about why you're so busy!  People like to know you're busy and they'll be curious about what's got you losing sleep at night.

Right now I'm busy with...

  • A new listing in Menlo Park
  • An offer one of my vacant lot lsitings in Los Altos Hills
  • A pre-emptive offer (just got accepted!)
  • A buyer with urgency
  • A commercial lease

The most interesting thing out of all that stuff that makes me too busy to blog is the pre-emptive offer.  I've had to educate my buyer on the success with getting into one of our really tight local markets.  Instead of competing against 30+ offers (which is what would have happened) I was able to get him to make an offer at the market rate while avoiding the stress of a multiple offer situation.  The seller gets their price and my client gets less stress.  It's a win-win!  BLOGGING IDEA:  See, I'm writing about working on an offer

My listing in Menlo Park is also exciting as it's in an area with high demand and low inventory.  The broker tour had a lot of people attend which bodes well for a successful open house.  BLOGGING IDEA:  So here I am writing about being in the middle of Facebook Territory with a listing that will hopefully sell after the first weekend on the market!

The old saying in professional writing is "Write what you know".  So, write about what's keeping you too busy and people will indeed find it interesting.

Great idea, Bryan.  Actualy, if we weren't busy we would have nothing to write about.  Hmmm.

Bryan, I know you're right, Everyday things are the easiest to write about. Right now I'm working with 3 different buyers, in three different areas. Keeps me pretty busy, especially with the lack of available homes on market.

Bryan, You are absolutely right. When you are extremely busy ,usually very interesting things are happening. Blogging is one way to share and maybe even get some workable solutions to your current challenges. Caprice
