I know the calendar says that Summer officially starts at the Solstice, but I always think that May, on the Pacific Northwest Coast, shimmers with summery allure, and really begins our "season".
This La Nina weather year delivered a November feel to the Pacific Northwest since October...or so it seems.
Suddenly, though, Mommy Nature has delivered her usual charm...leaves have feathered into fullness, blossoms emerged, flowers are fluffing gardens...a rich green explosion that only this coast seems to offer.
If a sunburst appears, get out there & enjoy...even if showers prevail, breathe in the clean dream of the air here...the word elixir comes to mind.
Rain or shine, we know this thin rim of land between the sea & the mountains is "the best".
And now our main season is with us, May to October, long days of pleasure in this natural world we are lucky to call home.
