What do Realtors do for health insurance?

By
Real Estate Agent with The Payne Group at Keller Williams Success Realty

Since we as realtors are self employed, what do realtors do for health insurance?  Does NAR have a group style plan for us?  I have poor health insurance right now and need to make sure that I am covered when I need it.

Tell us what companies that you recommend.

Has anyone had any luck with internet type quotes?

I have a group plan which has worked very well and is an HSA. It is with Golden Rule - a United Healthcare company.

Jeff,

Realtor.org under benefits.  You will find a few companies that offer a discount.

Here is a link

Hope this helps,

Holly

The subject of Health insurance is nothing but bad news.  I think all of us need medical attention when we hear what they want to charge us and at the same time the CEOs of these companies are making tens of millions $.  It truly is one of the disgraceful things going on in this country today.

Jeff.. Great topic as my wife and sone are covered by BC/BS and I have none. BC/BS denied me due to pre-existing conditions. I have VA disability which cover the pre-existing. Would love to find a good family program as well. I will look into the link posted by Holly and keep an eye as to other comments on this post.

Hi Jeff,

This is definitely a problem since 30% of realtors have no insurance according to the National Association of Realtors. One good option is a medical and dental discount program that I'm promoting. It's a comprehensive program that offers savings for the entire household for a small monthly fee. Please go to www.yesbenefits.com for more information or feel free to email me at tahabenefits@aol.com.
