Southern California Zoos

If you are looking for something exciting to do this spring/summer, then go to one of the local zoos in Southern California. It is a fun place to take kids or just go because you love zoos and animals. We go 3-4 times a year and anytime we are on vacation, we drop in on the locale zoo. Recently we were at the Philadelphia Zoo, Philadelphia PA. I highly recommend it and holds an important piece of our history as it was the first zoo in the United States. The zoo opened in 1874 with 813 animals. It now holds over 1300 species and subspecies. Next time you find yourself in PA, be sure to stop by the zoo.

Being the largest zoo of its kind in the state. They have a reputation to maintain a great zoo with countless animals living in their own habitat and they do this very well. They will give you a ride to the front gate for a small fee. If you take the tour bus you will enjoy the park at its best. Then you can walk around the park looking for favorite animals you saw from the bus. 2920 Zoo Drive, (619) 234-3153

Hi Tim,

We are going there for my birthday. Can you imagine? My family said where do you want to go and of all the places I picked the San Diego Zoo. I really like the bus tour they provide and the announcer on the bus gets the animals to perform. Then we go back and look at them all later and get some great photos. I have a new tripod so I want to try it out.

Hi Kwee,

They do, they live in the north pole but they also live at the zoos too. They have water to jump in to cool off and waterfalls in the rocks of their den. Hope your weekend is going well.
