I'm a huge fan of West Hollywood and feel very fortunate to live here (when I'm not in Palm Springs).
This week, in preparation for Gay Pride, the city started painting the crosswalks at the intersection of San Vicente Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard with bright rainbow colors.
The City's website (weho.org) says: "June is recognized as Pride Month by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community worldwide. Events are held in June to commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion in New York City on June 28, 1969 which most historians consider to be the birth of the modern LGBT civil rights movement"
The City of West Hollywood will once again celebrate LGBT arts and culture with its annual festival throughout June.
