Who Do You Know...

Cheesy. One thing I don't do is cheesy. This opening is cheesy.

Of course everyone has their own opinion, and it might work awesome for you, but I have no interest in this.

"Who do you know... who needs to buy or sell in the next 30 days?"

"Who do you know... that could use my help in selling their house?"

"Who do you know... at work that might be looking to purchase a house in the next few months?"

I might not get as many referrals as the next agent, but I do alright. I'm not going to end the conversation with a line like this.

I wouldn't want anyone to think that I'm cheesy.

Cheesy

I do talk about my business when it's brought up. Sometimes even by me. I won't ask for business that way, though. If it comes up in conversation, fine. If not, fine, too.

"Who do you know... that does this?"

Debbie, I don't blatantly come out and ask, but in conversation, they'll end up telling me about it if they know someone.

Cindy, I'll be cheesy around my friends and family. Cheese doesn't work for my business. But I love eating cheese!

Jared, aren't we (mostly) always? I love a grilled cheese with ham and mustard.

Eric, Funny thing is I rarely have to initiate any business conversations.  My friends and day job coworkers mostly know my "other job", and they initiate the real estate talk.  And I've gotten business from them, and expect more in the future.  Sweet deal, and no Velveeta required.

I think it so muich more effective to drive around in a logo wrapped car. Much less cheesy.

Altho, I have to say, I would love to have one of those branded moving vans. I think I would make a killing.

Not cheesy, just good advertising and PR

Nope, not in my vocabulary, either.  I always share that I'm a Realtor® always looking to help anyone if they know of anyone.  But, that's about it.  I do ALWAYS close a transaction with if you know anyone, I'd appreciate a referral, if you think I did a good job.  Or, I'd love to help any of your friends and families like I helped you.  Please feel free to have them give me a call.  Otherwise, I just feel too, well, cheesy!!!  I liked that, LOL.
