Summer on Long Island

Just a post about Long Island.  I am a City girl (:)) always have been, always will be.  I know that, everyone in ears length knows that.  It's actually boring.  Enough said, I really love Long Island.  It's much easier loving Long Island in the Summer.

I spent the day today, my day off, at the beach with my daughter and two of the grand children, formally know as hooligans, at the beach.  Listen I know that Long Island is expensive, congested and sometimes not polite but, and this is a huge but or butt, it really is a very beautiful place.

Almost all the people I grew up with in the South Bronx fled to Rockland County and were horrified that I chose to set down roots in Long Island.  The point is it is a minute away from the City and we have the beach and by that I mean a spectacular beach.  My childhood friends need to vacation to access the beach.  I myself just need to jump in the car and drive fifteen minutes and pay homage to the Atlantic Ocean.

I bow to the West Coast and their love of the Pacific, but I saw it and sorry to say the Atlantic wins, hands down.

No fighting guys.

Having not been there myself, I won't argue. I do wish you'd included photos of your trip to the beach today. It's good to hear you enjoy where you live so much!

I'll just stay on my lake Liz.  But I truly would love to visit your area and see your beach.
