A Rain-Cooled, Soggy Summer Solstice

By
Education & Training with Hoffacker Associates LLC

OK, summer is officially here although no one could tell it if they just had today to go on. It's not even 80 degrees here in normally hot and sunny South Florida with humidity maxed out and a lot of rain - with more coming.

Sure won't notice that longest day of the year or any beautiful sunset (unless there is a momentary break by then).

Anyway welcome to summer - even though summer has been with us for a few weeks already. Enjoy those summertime activities - between raindrops.

Steve, We are sunny with more sunshine expected. The first day of summer will be cooler than tomorrow's forecast here...a balmy 100...but it's a dry heat!

Wanda,

I love that dry heat. It's still hot. We had that here on Tuesday - 90+ and humidity in the 40s (dry for us). :)

Ha, finally! We have your sun today for the first day of summer and I'm going to try not to give it back. The kids and I are enjoying too much.

You wouldn't know it was summer here either, Steve.  It was supposed to be in the low 80s today (after a few days of high 90s) however it's still just 67 at 1:30pm.

Hello Steve,

Oh, I am jealous...a less than 80 degree day and rain, I'd love to know what that would be like in mid-June in Dallas!  Enjoy!
