Saturday's Shots: Beautiful Color...While It Lasted

This year I took the easy way out and purchased already potted flowers.  I took a lot of time picking out just the right pot, full of color for the front of our house.  We put them in the wrought iron wheel barrow that we purchase several years back and they were beautiful!  Then Mother Nature decided to shower us with a hail storm and now all I have left are flower stems.  Sniff, sniff!

Beautiful Color

BTW, I used Ribbet to do my photo editing!  It's everything you loved about Picnik and just as easy to use!

Those were some beautiful colors while they lasted Donna!  So sorry hail came through and took em out.  There seems to be a lot of hail storms going around lately...hmmm.  Well the good thing about already potted flowers is that you can go get more lol :)!

Debbie~ I hope they do.  We've been watering and hoping.  Just not sure.  Wish you weren't so far away, you have all the stuff we like to eat! :-)

Brenda~ We did buy more and we've been very protective of them!

Will~ You were lucky.  We had damage to one vehicle and have to have our roof replaced!

Very pretty flowers!  It's good to have photos to remind us of the beauty, long after they are gone.

Hi Donna - We fear those hailstorms - we have a large stand of Hostas on the side of our house that we've been babying for years, and they get completely trashed by the hail if we're not quick enough to cover them up - but they always come back.

Tammy~ We had 3 rounds of hail in one evening!

Debbie G.~ I'm hoping to post more Saturday Shots.  Ribbet is super easy to use.  Give it a try!

Valerie~ Thanks.  I had fun "playing" on Ribbet!

Jeanne & Ralph~ We bought some new flowers last weekend, geraniums from the Farmers Market AND some lilies to plant.  The Forget Me Nots are popping up too.  We'll get our color back!

Dick~ We weren't home when the storms came through, so we had no chance to save the flowers.

Debbie R.~ I noticed (this morning) that some flowers are coming back.  Hurray!

At least you were able to enjoy these flowers for a short time, and having snapped this lovely photo, you can enjoy them forever.

Donna, "dead head" them by picking off the blooms and they'll all come back beautifully.  I love the arrangement.

Donna, hope they're re-blooming.  We're just getting into our blooming season and all of the recent rain is really helping everything to turn green - particularly the weeds, LOL.
