The Color of Happy

The Color of Happy

I had one of those weeks where it seemed that the work would never end. Real estate, inside chores, outside chores, errands, maintenance, etc. I felt as though I was never was going to find time to sit back and enjoy the beautiful weather which is so fleeting here in Connecticut.

I looked around the yard and saw nothing but more work--painting the shed, mowing the lawn, weeding the garden, fixing the deck, etc. I was getting tired and feeling just a bit overwhelmed.

The Color of Happy

Then I decided that I needed a new umbrella for the deck, and I found this beautiful one in a color that just makes me happy. I put it up and instantly had a whole new outlook. Now instead of seeing all the work that needs to be done, I just see the color of happy.

What color makes you happy?

Peggy -- My umbrella is black and I need a new one. I should consider a 'happier' color like yours. I know what you mean about seeing nothing but work. I have been trying to take a break and there is always something popping up. Maybe I need to sneak out and do that umbrella shopping.

Hi Peggy and great choice as mine is pretty close to the same color. Everywhere I have looked here lately is just more work to be done but at my age I just relax and remember that it will be here tomorrow and I may not LOL

Love it Peggy! Love the lime green and have potted plants at our front walk all done up in lime this year.  Have to admit though, I go for yellow and didn't find it mellow until......I read Erv's comment and chart above! Anxious!!! He's probably right!
