Make Your Home a Hellmann's - Calorie Laden With Your Taste

By
Education & Training with House Proud Ottawa-Ontario-Canada

Late last night I saw a television commercial for Hellmann's mayonnaise.

The tag line had to do with eating a sandwich made with Hellmann's was the difference between eating a sandwich or savouring it.

That made me think about first time homeowners. A quick trip to a big box store and all the basic for the first house could be covered.

To me that is the sandwich without the zip, the flavour and the zing.

Go out and get some 'mayonnaise' something that gives the home your taste - photos, art, flowers, painted walls.  The list is endless and limited only by the landlord, the maxed out credit card and the generosity of friends and relatives.

Adding your personal touches is the difference between occupying a space and

living in it.

Good morning Valerie. Nice parallel. I agree, personalization matters and it makes a house a home. Have a great weeekend.

Why is it that everything we see, we find a way to relate to our business? Love how you used that as a jumping off point for this post. Great analogy!!

Marie:  Thank you.  Show homes are fun to look at but can be cold because of the lack of personal items.

Joanna:  I made sure that I had breakfast before adding the photo.

Thanks Tammie.  It is a constant theme in things that I see and hear.

Donna:  Some analogies just fit - of course my jeans won't if I eat like I write.

Valerie - You're so creative!  I don't think I'd come up with a relation between Hellman's mayo and home decoration in a million years!  You're so right.  A home without artwork, accessories and colour is like a White Spot hamburger without the pickle!

Valerie,

The different between a house and a home, is the details.  I think the same holds true in real estate dealings.

p.s.  I am a firm "Best Foods" girl also.  That is what the brand is called in Arizona,

Hellmann's mayonaise is definitely my favourite Valerie, it's good enough that I might consider decorating my house with a few jars of it that I purchased at Costco.

Sally:  Or Vera's without waiting the 30 minutes for the burger to cook.

Pamela:  I used to sneer at mayonnaise.  We never had it as kids.  Now,,,,,  yummy.

Malcolm:  Some people put designer water on their counters but nothing says lovin like jars of mayo spread (LOL) over the counter.

Great analogy!  I just came from Craig's post on eating ice cream to beat the heat, now you have that monster sandwich to tempt me...good thing I just ate!

I finally got to this post that I saw a while ago and didn't have time to comment on. You are supper productive and as you can see I had to stop by at your other posts to put my 2c in. I like your analogy and I buy only Hellmann's mayonnaise, so with this content I have to say that the key is to do the research or hire a professional for the consultation and buy the right accessories. Also if you find some piece that a bit pricey but makes you happy, do not substitute it with something more affordable but not quite right. It's better to wait and save for the right piece.  I never buy generic mayonnaise because it doesn't taste as good and I would rather have Hellmann's ones a week than choke on generic every day.

Anna:  It is a really treat when someone susses out the earlier posts and comments.  Thank you so much and you are so right - wait until you can buy the really nice things because you will like them for a whole lot longer.
