The Color Purple in Waynesville, NC ~ Wordless Wednesday

By

These purple blooms graced the border of some vacant lots I was showing this morning in Waynesville, NC.  I don't know what kind of flowers they are and it really doesn't matter.  They made me feel calm and reminded me of the movie "The Color Purple".

Working in real estate in the mountains of Western North Carolina and showing vacant land in the summer really exposes me to some of the incredible treasures this great state has to offer.

Mona:  Same here.  I don't know what they are called... but they are very, very pretty.  The color is just so soothing for some reason.  Thanks for pretty'ing up my monitor screen.  :)

Hi Mona-even if that plant with the pretty flowers is considered a weed really why care? Beautiful is beautiful. When one pops up in the middle of your yard not so much BUT I have seen firlds of this "weed" and it is mucho gorgeousness to behold!

Maria, hah!  I just heard from my researcher Roger Mucci who is content to call them pretty flowers.

John, they were lovely!

Karen Anne, This time of year I could find you something to pretty up the monitor every day.

Mr Purple Velvet, I'm not sure how they would last once plucked.

Pat, Washington DC does have its share of beautiful wildflowers.

Maria, that's exactly what they're called!

Roger, I'm good with that.

Marco, the fields of purple are incredible and I'd worry about the person who didn't notice it.

Mona;  Nice job and the photos are terrific.  What did you use to do the framing?  I like it a lot.

Wayne, thanks and I hope you enjoyed your day.

Valerie, sometimes I enjoy the framing as much as the photography.  This framing is from the www.ribbet.com site and is a combination of a very thin "reflection" frame coupled with a mat frame.  Lots of fun, you should try and dabble with it.  Call me if you want any help.

Than, glad you enjoyed them.  It seems like hours since morning...oh well, I guess it has been!

Sheila, for some reason I'd never noticed them before but I've probably seen 20 fields of them since yesterday.
