100 Miles of Yard Sales

Summer has always been a season for yard sales, a way for people to stretch their dollar or make a few bucks while getting rid of their old stuff.

But you won't find any yard sale in the classifieds that compares to this weekend's event. This  Saturday, July 7th   is Southside Virginia's 100 Miles of Yard Sales. So you can take a leisurely drive through South Central Virginia, find lots of treatsures, and save a few dollars.

For more information on this event contact Jerri Morton at (434) 767-2324 or view the map at details online.

There is a lot of real estate along this route, you may find the perfect place to call home....if so we'd be happy to help.

I have never heard of an event like this.  Is this the first year or is it a regular event?

Karen, this is the second year they have held this event but their goal is to make it an annual event on the 1st Saturday of July.  From what I saw, I think there were more participants this year than last. So I hope that means it will bigger and better next year!

Just an FYI:

This Saturday is the 6th.

And this is the 3rd year; not the 2nd year.
