Can't You Hear Me Crying?

Can’t You Hear Me Crying? The several days of blessed rain we have gotten in Clarksville TN have been wonderful. The grass is turning green and is shooting up. The shrubbery and flowers are growing again and showing signs of new life.

Can't You Hear Me Crying?

Can’t You Hear Me Crying? My Weeping Mulberry Tree has been weeping continuously and it’s because it has gotten rather shaggy and is in need of a trim. Frankly she is unattractive and has become an eyesore in the front of my house.

If My Mulberry Tree could speak she might cry out, “You have forgotten me. I look atrocious and neglected. I feel ugly and out of shape. When will you have take time from selling houses to give me a haircut so I can look pretty again? I am long overdue for my early-summer haircut.”

Can’t You Hear Me Crying? Yes, I think I can hear you and I certainly see you. "Don't be a big baby. Today is haircut day. You’ll get what’s coming to you.”

Now My Weeping Mulberry Tree has no need to cry anymore because she is sporting a stylish new figure. But she is still a Weeping Mulberry Tree and will always be..

Before the HaircutSporting a New Stylish Figure

I have always loved the weeping mulberry.  Your tree should probably stop crying and think of all the other weeing mulberry trees in the Midwest that haven't had a drink all summer.

Now I can't remember the statistic, but I just heard that something like 80% of our nation is in some state of drought alert.  Meanwhile, yesterday in Mill Valley, just north of San Franscisco we had 60 degrees and drizzle....

I have never heard of a weeping Mulberry Tree. I am off to see if they will grow here in east Texas.

I miss the smell of rain in the Sonoran desert.

The color changes of the flora, after a summer monsoon, is truly amazing.

It was good to get that rain, wasn't it? My green peppers are so thankful. I couldn't keep them moist enough in all this heat.

Valerie, I feel the same way when I need a trim and then get it.

Sheila, I hope you will get some much needed rain very soon.

Vanessa, I asked my landscaper when we built to put in some things that were different and somewhat exotic and my weeping mulberry was one of them. It is unique.

Barbara, Here's to you getting some rain so your plants will be looking weepy too.

Michael, That haircut will last about a month if we have any rain at all. But it's pretty while it lasts.

Debbie, Fires can start so easy without the needed amount of rain. Hoping you get some soon.

Regina, The tree looks much better and not such an eyesore in front of my house.

Gay, The weather is weird with no rain here for weeks they 5-6 inches in 3 or 4 days. The it's up to 100 degrees again.

Mary Elizabeth, Ms. Mulberry does look quite neat and now the other shrubs need a turn.

Chris and Dick, Yes mine is lucky because she has had some much needed rain.

Mike, Drought conditions are all over. It has been a very confusing summer weather pattern.

Rob, If we had 60 degrees here we would bring out the winter coats. Actually that sounds kind of refreshing.

Joni, I hope you have them in your area. They make for a nice addition to the landscape.

Anthony, Your rain is sure to come so you can enjoy those beautiful colors.

Richie, Nature is amazing and it recovers from drought very quickly.

Walter, Actually my husband used the gas trimmer and I picked up the branches. When its's not so out of control, I can break the branches with my hands and trim it that way.

Carie, Yes she does look nice. No crying here anymore.

Tatyana, Yes the rain was so nice. I hope you have some in New England very soon.

Kevin, Colorado needs rain to prevent those fires from taking off again.

Cindy, It is hard to believe you have had such cool temps. Glad you like my tree.

Adrian, A mild thunder storm is exciting if there is no damage.

Debb, The garden is silent right now. If it stays this hot though, it will be crying for water in a few days.

Anna, Glad it made you smiled.

Carl and Ceil, Sometimes that you need a little something to smile about.

Joy, Glad he approved. Ms. Mulberry is pleased too.

Tammie, Glad you got some of this rain too. The gardens need it.

Send me some rain, and you'll hear me crying, too. We need it. Winds are high, and so are the temperatures.
