Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Reach out, reach out and touch someone.

Hollyhocks are one of my favorite flowers and known to grow upright, stretching toward the sky, their stalks often measuring between six to ten feet and even taller. Apparently this one wished to come down at eye level and say hello to all who hurried past.

Hey! Nice to meet you Holly and thank you for reaching out, you certainly brightened my moment!

Happy Wednesday all!

Kerrie, They are quite beautiful and are pretty hardy, requiring little water and lots of sun-shine! Happy day to you too!

Cal, They make me SMILE!

Joan, They show up in the most unexpected places...on the side of the highway...in planter boxes...in gravel. Always enjoy them!

Thank you Lou! It has about an 8 foot reach!

Bill, They are indeed and replant themselves!

You are so welcome Will. Glad you thought of your grandparents today!

I'm trying to grow some hollyhocks in a little garden patch in my front yard.  So far, not so great!  Yours is pretty.

Hey, we have them here is PA, too.  I remember them from childhood as does Will.  They tend to grow in the most unlikely places rather than cultivated in gardens.  Thanks for sharing the beauty.  Bye.
