The advent of the smartphone has made many real estate professionals' lives easier. It's like having a computer in the palm of your hand. Whether you own an Android, iPhone or Blackberry, the smartphone is definitely a necessity in today's mobile world. You can respond to emails, access reports, get directions to your next listing appointment, set up a meeting with a potential client and even make reservations for that upcoming real estate seminar you don't want to miss while getting your morning cup 'o joe at your favorite local coffee shop. Now, smartphone searches just got easier with the new Google Search app.
The Google Search app takes searching to a whole new level. Take a photo and use the Google Goggles to find out more about your subject, including buildings, books, restaurants, etc. You can even simply speak your search request using the Search by Voice feature. You will never have to type in your current location again because Google Search recognizes where you are at that moment and tailors your search to the area you are in. For example, if you ask for sushi restaurants, it will only bring up those places within a certain radius of where you currently are located. There is also a Google Suggest tool, the ability to bring up searches you have recently made, searching through your email and contacts, a vertical search of Google Maps, Images, News, etc. and even quick links to other Google applications. And it's all available right at the tip of your finger.
To download the Google Search app, you can simply scan the QR code located in this blog, type in m.google.com/search on your smartphone's browser, download Google Search from iTunes or download it from Google Play. Make your smartphone searches even more efficient with the Google Search app. Anything that allows real estate professionals to perform their jobs quicker and easier is a positive thing in my book.
