Avoid your plateau

So, I have been reflecting this morning on how I've allowed a physical plateau in my life. I have weight to lose, but have chosen a path that has caused the loss to be stagnant. I know that it's my own fault and that I allowed it to happen... so here I am making "changes"! It's not easy!!! The new habits aren't easy to follow, but I am committed.

The thing that struck me this morning is that a plateau can happen in any avenue of life. With work, friendships, financially, whatever it may be. I'm not sure that we realize always that we have hit that spot so reflection is needed to see where we are exactly at.

Am I planning on selling thirty houses this year? What do I need to do to get there? Am I gonna leave it up to fate or work for it?

Am I planning on losing 20 pounds this year? How do I get there? Can I keep eating pizza and sitting in front of the tv?

Do I want to buy a house? Sell a house? Can I just "wish it" into existance?

The answer is that we need to move. Make a plan and move on it. Tweak it, change it, move it,... whatever it takes!

So happy plateau diving to you!

What a great post, Lindsey!  So often we get to a place where we feel stagnant, like nothing else can come from our efforts.  However, as you said, that's the time to figure out what exactly it is that we want and how we plan to attain it.  Thanks for the timely reminder to set goals!

GO LINDSEY GO!  I am sure you can stick to it.  You've already on track.  You may want to try writing down your goals somewhere where you can see them everyday, so that you stay focused.

Tanya - Written goals don't do me any good! I write them and look at them and still forget them. ;0) I've even tried rewards and can't seem to make that work either.... It's coming though. Thanks!
