Geez William... what an awesome photo! I love the light and shadows and colors. The detail is amazing. I'm curious as to the time of day, because the shadows and light distribution is beautiful. Where is this? I love the west coast, and Califronia is such a beautiful state. We are so blessed with such a wonderful variety of coastal, desert, and mountain landscapes.

William - I am looking at your photo and think that it is a bit unfair that we do not have these beatiful mountains. It would look so cool with our warm ocean...

Why we can't have everything in one place? You have gorgeous mountains, but relatively cold ocean. Everyone has something, but nobody has everything....

Hi Than, I haven't yet discovered how to photograph the beauty and majesty of our southern Sierras and convey it like I saw it. As beautiful as a photo can be it can not fully capture the true experience.

Hi Alexandra, I feel the same way and I marvel how there is so much that one person can't ever capture it all. Each day is a new vision of so much beauty and powerful nature filled magical energy..

That's such a beautiful site.  Where is it?  I admit, I'm used to a completely different type of landscape with almost sub-tropical lush greens and a great deal more cloud cover.  I think I would have to re-learn a great deal about landscape photography to give a scene like that justice.
