This New York Times column goes over the pros, cons and additional options to consider when it comes to home wine refrigerators.  Appliance size, placement and the variety of beverages to store and serve are addressed.  In most cases it would be "...a positive addition..." (The NYTimes offers a combination of free and fee viewing.)

 

While luxury, spa-licious bathrooms are "all the rage" they are definitely not the norm, especially in smaller and average homes.  And even in homes with an over-sized bathroom there if often one or more smaller baths... this article includes useful "talking points" for selling a home with a smaller bath including ease of remodeling!   Click to read a few "cons" and many "pros" for the small bathroom.

One of the townhomes I recently sold, had a half bath, and their washer and dryer in the same room. The creative way they placed them was this. On another wall to the left they used a waterfall scene wallpaper, and bought the red front load machines. Stunning...best use of space I've seen yet.

Winston...that is a great way to incorporate a design element...I refer to that as "make do decorating".

I am going to throw out a compact bathroom faux pas which has me perplexed.  I have found three new construction luxury homes with door swings which are inhibited by either vanities or commodes to open fully.  Most customers are not contortionists and would have difficulty maneuvering in these cramped quarters.  Somewhat like:  Step right, spin, bend, step left, bend, pirouette, sit!

Kevin...We have tackled a few reno jobs where we had to install a pocket door, or buy a new door kit and have it swing out instead of in.
