For those that like a bit of tomato on your hambugers.

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with WHISPERING PINES REALTY 20398180

I Nutured and coxed this tomato for some time now.  I picked it yesterday at about the peak of it's ripeness.

The BBQ was hot and onto the grill went the burgers.

When all done, one burger and one slice of tomato on top!

I need to make the burgers a bit bigger and find some bigger buns.

Bill, one of the things I miss about living in the midwest - GREAT fresh tomatoes.  The ones we get here are typically hot house - our growing season is so short. Maybe, I can send you my address?  LOL.

I can REMEMBER peeling tomatos for my grandmother after picking them from my grandfather's garden in South Carolina....few peel them any more and I suspect it was because of the pesticide he sprayed on them...they were GOOD with salt and pepper!

Did you weigh that sucker before you cut it up? We aren't harvesting any big ones yet, but very soon, my friend, I will be having my bun sized tomatoes.

I think a more accurate post title might be, "For those that like a bit of burger on on your tomato" - haha looks magnificent Bill, all the more impressive is that you harvested it yourself!
