Lebanon Mason Monroe RailroadLebanon Mason  & Monroe Railroad August & September Special Events

The Lebanon Mason & Monroe Railroad keeps chugging along with special events!  They're finishing up a packed summer schedule and hard to believe, but coming up on the fall season soon!  Based on the south end of historic downtown Lebanon, the LM&M is a very popular local attraction and particularly a hit with the kids!

So what are the special activities in August & September?

The Cat in the Hat continues from the last weekend in July with special runs August 11 & 12!  A little learning, a little exploring, who knows what that Cat in the Hat will be up to??  Trains leave at 10, 12:45 and 3:30.

Ride With Clifford, That BIG Red Dog!! August 18, 19, 25 & 26.
A little learning, some games, and Clifford.  Trains leave at 10, 12:45 and 3:30.

Day Out With Thomas!! September 7, 8, 14, 15 & 16.  ONLY the most popular event of the year for the wee ones!  A full size Thomas the Tank Engine on the front is just the start, and more specialty activities too.  This crew knows the drill, as Thomas makes the rounds nationally! Times vary, so click the Day Out With Thomas link to see times and purchase tickets.

Batesville Apple Festival September 23rd.  This isn't the typical short run but a much longer day trip!  Leaves at 9 a.m. and heads down the tracks to Batesville Indiana for the annual Apple Festival.  You'll have a 3 hour layover to enjoy the Batesville Apple Festival. And this one DOESN'T leave from Lebanon, but from Cincinnati.  Click Batesville Apple Festival Train Excursion for more details.  Tickets range from $40 to $99.95 depending on class of service and dining choices.

For the special events besides the Batesville Apple Festival, tickets typically are $18.50 for Adults, Seniors and kids 5-16 are $15.50, Toddlers 2-4 are $8.50, and under 2 are free.  You can purchase tickets online at the Lebanon Mason & Monroe Railroad website (click the link) or by calling 513-933-8022 x101.

The LM&M Station, Ticket Office and Gift Shop is located at 127 South Mechanic in downtown Lebanon, just a couple of blocks from the Golden Lamb.  On street and municipal lot parking is available within a short distance of the station.

So all aboard for your train adventures!

BLiz, what a great way to continue the train history and what a huge part it has played in our country's growth...sounds wonderful to have all these events well connected here.

Conrad, Hard to believe with all the 90-100 degree temps we've had lately that fall isn't really all that far away!

Ginny, Have always loved history, and this train helps keep some of that connection alive.
