Etnies Skatepark Of Lake Forest: Movie Trailer

Just the thought of your child taking dangerous chances is enough to turn a Mother's haBroken Bone Clubir gray, but when it comes to Skateboarding, how could it not be Every Mother's Worst Nightmare?

Our son broke three bones while skateboarding, including his scapula.  Who the hell breaks a scapula?  He did!

If your child is going to skateboard, at least let them do it the right way.  The Etnies Skate Park in Lake Forest, California give lessons and will even host Birthday Parties.

It was Best Skatepark 2011 and received the #1 Family Friendly Reader's Choice 2011 award from OCParenting Magazine.

Check out their website at: www.etniesskatepark.com to see REAL ACTION VIDEO, A VIRTUAL TOUR and to get all the details.  Have FUN at the Etnies Skatepark.

Let's face it, Skateboarding is dangerous and this video makes it seem a bit scary.  But, we're only young once and luckily young bones heal quickly.

Skateboarding doesn't have to be scary and neither does buying or selling a house.

All you need is an qualified skateboard trainer or An Experienced Real Estate Agent

Richard my kids loved skateboarding and although you don't see the enthusiasm, it is a great sport...love the video!

As a mother there are so many things I see danger in, but you are correct in they are only young once and it is important that we give them the lessons and tools they need to be as safe as possible!

Richard,  Luckily I have a daughter and not a son.  She was never into skateboarding.  I am so glad to see these kids wearing helmits.  This way their noggins are proptected a bit.

Tom, The scapula is the shoulder blade, located in the upper part of the back (somewhat triangular shaped).

I had a skateboard over 50 years ago made out of a wooden board and parts from a roller skate with metal wheels.  At least back then we could make sparks fly.  Have a great week and best wishes always.

Phil, I've been mesmerized for the past few days by my own video of Fire and Glass with Evanescence.  ;-)  It's a bit tranquil, soothing and hypnotic...close your eyes, your getting tired, your eyelids are getting very heavy.  Wait!  Open you eyes, or you won't be able to read the rest of this comment.

No doubt more than one Skateboarder has made a jump over water and/or fire, but I don't think jumping over MY fire pit would be much of challenge.  However, if YOU want to try it...wait until I get my video camera.  Have a great week and best wishes always.

Wayne, I was very impressed with the Etnies Skateboard Park of Lake Forest.  It's an enormous facility with challenges for skaters of all ability levels.  The fact that they offer lessons and require helmets is a big plus toward having a safer experience for Thrill Seekers.  Enjoy your day too, in fact enjoy the entire week.  Best wishes always.

Ginny, YOU probably recognized this as another iMovie Trailer Video created entirely with my iPhone 4S.  I just couldn't wait till Halloween to try out this Scary Theme.  This project went together really quick with limited video clips that I captured spontaneously while driving by Etnies Skateboard Park on my way home.   ;-)  Have a great week and best wishes always.

Shannon, Most childhood injuries occur when parents yell out of panic for the safety of their child.  Left alone, they probably wouldn't fall, if not startled by their parent yelling AT them to be careful.  ;-)  I wish I were young again!  Best wishes always.

Belinda, I'm very glad you noticed that the kids were required to wear helmets and they are being supervised.

As dangerous as Skateboarding may be, it's much better to be at The Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest than to be attempting stunts at shopping centers or in the street.  Best wishes always.

Hi Richard,

Looking at the video, that's quite a feat they are doing. I was never into skateboarding when I was younger. I know that had to hurt your son. When Ii read it all I could say was OUCH. Makes mom and dad mad they were not wearing every kind of protection possible. But then was he?

Have a great day and I wish well to your son to get better.

Best, Clint McKie

Richard, Ah, broken bones and skateboarding often go together. I remember the night we spent in the ER while my daughter's boyfriend got his leg stitched back up after falling. Luckily there were no broken bones. He used to come over looking lilke someone had beat him up, with his cuts and bruises.

Howdy Clint, You weren't into Skateboards when you were younger because they hadn't yet invented the wheel.  LOL... ;-)

My son was much younger when he skateboarded and broke 3 bones, luckily he survived and went on to become a Mechanical Engineer.  I don't believe that he wore a helmet when any of his injuries occurred and they definitely didn't have any facilities like Etnies Skatepark.  Thank you for commenting and best wishes always.

Sandy, Better your daughter's boyfriend than your daughter.  ;-)   It's a dangerous, yet thrilling and challenging activity.  There will always be work for a Doctor, as long as Skateboards and kids are around.   Best wishes always.

Richard the editing on your videos is awesome!!! You will soon be hired to DO movie trailers.

I bought one of the very first skateboards 45 years ago. I was in the hospital for a week :-) My nose will never be the same....

Steve, I knew that I would hear from you when the cows came home.  Being Hired is NOT the same as being Paid to do Movie Trailers.  This was simple with my iPhone 4S and iMovie.  I uploaded the video directly to YouTube and BAM!  Another spur of the moment opportunity made possible by modern technology, and a bit of know how.  But mostly modern technology.

Why work harder making videos, when we can make our videos work harder with Annotations and proper links to websites and related videos in the Description.  ;-)

How good of a skateboard could it have been, since it probably only cost a dollar 45 years ago, and even wearing a helmet would not have saved your now distinctive nose, which gives you character and individuality.  We can talk about skateboards, videos and anything else when you buy me that beer at Jimmy's Old Town TavernBest wishes always.

One of my all-time favorite videos is Tom Petty's Free Fallin'. I can't get enough of the expression on the girl's face as she's skateboarding down a hill in the skate park.

Jill, You picked one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite performers. And just think how special that is, because I've never seen that video before today, and only because of your mention of it. Thank you for opening my eyes and best wishes always.

Richard, we have a skateboarding park near the track at the elementary school... it is unbelievable how the kids can skateboard... Sorry to hear about your son, but as you said young bones heal quickly :)  Enjoyed the bass fishing video too.

You never stop worrying about your kids. My daughter does skateboard and now she wants to try long boarding down our mountain grades. Oh geez...I'm hoping this phase passes.

Love the bass video. The soundtrack is great.

Richard,

I had to laugh when I saw that Broken Bones Club. Yes! I'm a member of the Broken Bones Club and my son and daughter are too!

We never learn, do we, we just mend and pass it on to the next generation.

These are great videos.
