But they must go, the time draws on,
And those white-favour'd horses wait;
They rise, but linger: it is late;
Farewell, we kiss, and they are gone.
- Alfred, Lord Tennyson, "In Memoriam, O! Living Will That Shalt Endure"
Somewhere . . . . Somewhere in time's Own Space
There must be some sweet pasture place
Where creeks sing on and tall trees grow
Some Paradise where horses go,
For by the love that guides my pen
I know great horses live again.
- Stanley Harrison
In sadness I write this post. I just lost my best buddy and partner, Text Edition, a.k.a "Eddie". He was a great horse, who touched many lives, and had a great heart. He will be remembered and live in my heart forever.
RIP, dear friend.
