There is a certain aura about many churches around the globe, which simply capture the imagination.  I get it when I look at this picture of St. Pat's.  I also got it at Westminster Abbey in London.  When I look at churches built in the past, I often find myself saying,they don't build them like they use to!

I am with Myrl on this one.  Am I right to assume that this is NYC St. Patrick's Cathedral?  I also think that St Peter's Basilica and all the Italian duomos, (Florence, Milan) my favorites and the great cathedals of France give you the feeling of amazement, since they were built without the tools and machinery we have today.  Thanks for sharing your archives.
