So how do you know where you’re going if you don’t know where you have been? People are always talking about goal setting and I often struggle with this. Today I read a tweet that talked about how they analysed where their business came from the past five years. The past five years is a great guage because we all had to work hard for every listing or sale that came before us. So my numbers are in and here they are.
Personal or Realtor Referral 57.1 %
Sphers of Influence 28.6 %
Floor Calls or Walk ins 5.7 %
Internet Leads 8.5 %
If you add the referrals with the soi it comes to 85.7% which means I need to stop looking for the magic pill or easier way of doing this business. I will be picking up the phone, writing the extra note , popping by a past clients home and ask them the million dollar question, “ If you or someone you know were to buy or sell a home is there a Realtor you would refer them to?” I’m never too busy to help anybody with any of their real estate needs. My goal for the next five years is to be at 95% referral. It’s a good life
