Making a Blog Ad for a Local Event Using Ribbet
My ActiveRain Blog features many events in and around San Diego. By Far one of my favorite events is the Tall Ship Parade and Festival. This will be my 3rd year and each time I have gone, I learned new things about my camera and how best to get the best photos of the Parade.
The Tall Ship Parade and Festival event is coming up at the end of the month and I had taken many photos last year but wanted to so something a bit different using photo editing to create an ad that perhaps would generate some interest in the event.
I logged into Ribbet and found an advanced feature called Featured on the tool bar. At the bottom of the right hand column is one called "Holiday" and after selecting that one, the next selection was "NASA Shauttle Launch". When I clicked on that selection, it opened up yet another group and I clicked on "Space Textures". I tested out several selections and chose one near the bottom of the group to see what it might look like applied to my photo. Not wanting to take anything away from the Ship photo I had taken last year but I wanted to create an interesting poster-like ad I could use here on my ActiveRain Blog.
I stated with this photo just above , added in only the Space Texture feature , added the words, selected the fonts and created this simple poster ad for the upcoming event.
Give Ribbet a try, it is Free with all it's advanced features activated and allows for a some creative Photo editing especially if you want to create something like a poster using your own photos.
