Michael-That is a great variety of places to go for some entertainment and it is a great bargain at $2 & $3.  Lot to offer in your area. Never time for boredom.

Great localism Michael.  Boy does this one hit home.  I had a date night with the wife to see a movie she's been waiting to see," Hope Springs" tonight.  Anyway... I over booked and accepted dinner for us tonight at a place the wife had rather not be.  If I make it out of the dog house we'll make it a Sunday afternoon movie and escape the heat as you suggested :)

Michael - A nice cool movie theater is a great way to cool off, not to mention popcorn, a drink and some great entertainment.  Way to beat the heat!

A great way to escape the heat indeed.  We're off to the Imax theater in Seattle tonight to check out Batman.  I hope my Junior Mints don't melt!

Hi Michael - That brings back some memories - I remember the cool and the great sense of relief it was walking into a theatre in the summer when I was a kid and no one had A/C.

Hello All -- thanks so much for stopping by and reading this post -- movies are a great way to escape life and definitely to escape the heat --- we are due to hit the 90s again today.  Actually we've had a relatively mild summer but would like a respite.   Have a successful weekend -- stay cool.

Staying cool on these hot summer weekends is an absolute must, either in a nice air conditioned movie theatre or a relaxing pool in your Pasadena CA home.
