Luxury Real Estate Marketing: There is no “I” in Team

By
Real Estate Services with ra@napaconsultants.com

All winning teams will tell you that there is no “I” in the word Team.  As a luxury real estate marketing professional you form teams to work with in all aspects of your business.  Your ability to work as a team with all those involved in a transaction is an integral part of your success.

As we were driving back from an appointment, we noticed the hill burning on the other side of the freeway. A line of firefighters was working to extinguish the fire.  This picture is illustrative of teamwork.  (You will have to look closely at the picture.)  What matters here, in this dangerous situation, is not who will get the fire extinguished. What matters most is that the fire is extinguished.  In selling a home or representing a buyer the goal is not the credit to the individual, it is the accomplishment of the task.  It takes a team, and there is no “I” in team.

Good photo to illustrate this all important point. It does take a team of professionals to successfully close a home. Plus, our small brokerage works as a team on nearly every transaction. We each bring our unique skill set to the table, I know it gives our client years and years of experience and expertise. Personally, I thrive in the harmony of teamwork.

Hi Ron & Alexandra - As a husband & wife team like you, Mary & I completely depend on our ability to work smoothly together toward the same goal. It's not something that is easy to put together, and maintaining it takes regular effort (just like a good marriage). And when it works, the results can be extremely rewarding - and not just in a monetary sense.

John,

Luckily, they were able to take care of that fire in no time, and there are no homes around there.  Ron and I love teamwork in every way.

Roy,

Thanks, sometimes I threaten to change the name of our blog to "My life as a blog!".

Dianne,

Good advice and I agree with you, thank you notes are a very special acknowledgment.  Ron and I had an escrow officer we adored, and when she retired we cried!  It took us awhile to find someone with her superb skills.

Rebecca,

Without a team, very little can happen...

Toni,

Yup, there were days in LA commercial real estate, when I felt that way...and there are still days like that.

Belinda,

Yes, and we are privvy to many of those.  I was just telling Ron how many freeway hills we have seen on fire in our lives, and then 3 fires in Santa Barbara in our first 3 years here.

Debb,

I love teamwork and contrary to what many think, it heightens the individuality and does not lessen it.

Dick,

I agree with you on all counts, and I am so used to teamwork, that seeing someone who does not want to play team is so foreign!

Alexandra,

The emergency services certainly understand the power in teamwork.  And yes, putting out fires is close to our hearts these days... g
