The Dining Room Goes From Country To Coastal - Connecticut Home Staging
One of the most important considerations in real estate is Location, Location, Location! If you are planning to sell your house, take into consideration its location. Present your house in a manner that reflects the best features of living in that area.
Properties located in the beach area of Fairfield, Connecticut are highly prized for their proximity to the many public beaches. As a result, they frequently command much higher prices than similar houses located further inland.
This charming Cape Cod-style house is located one block in from the Fairfield beaches; it's a prime location. However, little about the interior of the house said so. This house needed to tell Buyers, "You could be living at the beach!" at every turn.
This is how we turned the Dining Room from Country to Coastal:
This Dining Room is the first room that potential Buyers see when they enter the house. Note the light fixture; it had to go. The dark draperies cover much of the window, reducing the natural light. The wall paint, while charming, is very taste-specific, and does not provide the coastal feel we want.
We needed to edit the furniture in this small dining room, and select art for a coastal feel.
Fresh wall paint and bright white drapery really brightens the space. The new chandelier was selected because its sandy paint finish is beachy, yet works with the other metallic finishes in the house. We decided to remove the corner built-in. While built-ins are frequently prized for the storage they can afford, this one was specifically built to house a TV, and cramped the space.
Repositioned furniture allows for a minimum of 36" to walk around. The mirror and artwork reflect a coastal vibe.
Stage your house to reflect the area! This Fairfield, Connecticut, house Staged by Nestings Home Staging, and priced right, SOLD in eight (8!) days!
