Motivational Power Quote

Change is Never Easy

“Change is not made without inconvenience, even from worst to better."

Richard Hooker 1554 – 1600, British Author, Preacher,

As I see it . . . . . . .

Change is never easy

Change is continuous and just when everything appears to be set in place in your life . . . . change just seems to happen.

It seems that no matter what the change is human nature wants resists it.

Let’s look at the smart phone and how the phone with multiple applications being used and their impact on a number of goods and services are bring effected.

          ■ Smart phones have digital camera

          ■ Build in GPS

          ■ Clock

          ■ Music player

          ■ Games

          ■ You can watch TV

          ■ E-mail

          ■ Radio

          ■ Capacity to write and post a blog

          ■ Review MLS data on the run

          ■ Paying for goods and services with a swipe

And the list goes on.

Smart phone use is changing the face of retail world in what people are buying and what convinces they want in their lives.

Where we use to carry multiple devices with us we replaced them with our smart phone and now we carry one the smart phone.

The smart have replaced the traditional use of the camera’s, GPS systems, the iPod, watches, video game systems, and many other traditional products will be effected and the demands for their products as they exist will shrink.

The companies that are currently providing the goods and services will have to adjust their business model or risk losing their market share or going out of business.

E-mail has replaced the post office and everyone knows it except the Federal Government. Inefficient and old and outdated methods are costing the tax payer millions of dollars a year to subsidize post office.

For years people resisted paying their monthly bills online. The change has been made from mail to online payments and most business now offers their billing or invoices online. The companies are experiencing success with the online payments and now manage their payment cycle far more effectively resulting in faster service at lower cost.

There has a big change in the way telephones are being used across the demographics of the user. Land lines are being moved from the home and the cell-phone is now the primary phone.

Text messaging is now preferred method of commutations over a telephone call and even e-mail.

Many businesses are sending e-mail and text messages to their customer’s bi-passing traditional methods of marketing. Resulting in a targeted connection their customers and reduced costs.

There is a big change in the way people are paying for goods and services they use. Consumers are carrying less cash; they’re using fewer checks and have cut back on their use of credit cards. The new form of currency is now the debit cards.

The point is that change is all around us. Adapting to change can bring convince into our life and profit to your business.

Consumers are adapting to change for convince and the ease of doing business and will seek out and do business with the companies that make it easy for them to do business with.

Change is never easy . . . . and people adapt to change differently in many cases it’s the early adapters to change that have the advantage. Look at change with an open mind and look at how to adapt the change into your life and business model.

Yes, Lou, Change is not easy, but I have found in my business that it is often necessary if you want to stay in this business of real estate. Land Lines at home are becoming a thing of the past these days.

Lou,

Change is necessary, but, like you said not always easy.  When you look back at what technology was when we were growing up and what it is now...amazing!

Hi Lou,

Yes, your right change is not easy. You need to motivate yourself to these changes because as you said no matter what the change is human nature wants to resists it. Luckily, I am the type of person who can easily adapt to changes because I welcome it open arms. Technology continues to evolved thus making our life a lot easier. Even though there is an advantage & dis-advantage but in my opinion it is on the person using the technology on how it will affect his life.
