I agree with Gary Wortal on this matter. In an effort to slow things down a bit my wife and I took a day together yesterday (just the two of us) and drove out to the ocean. From our Renton home it's only about 2 1/4 hrs each way and well worth the trip. Beautiful scenery and sunshine all day. Lots and lots of people watching at Ocean Shores with a large influx due to the holiday crowd. Got a lot of good laughs. Then back on the road again and further North to Moclips which remains a favorite for us since that's where we got married.
Enjoy your "slowed down day."
With Labor Day this year I would encourage you if you are not working to
With A Slower Day LISTEN For Little Things.
The little things in life really are the BIG things when you look back at them. Listen with your ears, your eyes and your feelings.
Signs of happiness, joy and laughter, sheer love, good music, tasty food, friends and family, appreciation of YOU by others, voices, silliness, you name it, even hugs by people or a wagging tail by a pet.
I point this out as an exercise with slowness, with a little disconnection from routine as a holiday as---
YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT REALLY COUNTS IN LIFE.
The little things are BIG things. KNOW WHAT THEY ARE....
