Appraisers - 2007 Year end summations -

By
Real Estate Appraiser with Ashcroft & Associates

What was supposed to me a 15 minute project has turned into a couple of hours of reading over old posts, finding blogs that I had missed and all around reflecting over this group.  I just thought I would take a moment Saturday to thank you all for your contributions and readership as well as observe some of the discussions we've had over the past year so that they might be easy to find later.

Active Rain Appraisers

Here are some of 2007's highlights by the posters in no particular order...

Check out all of these great real estate professionals' blog posts on their individual AR websites.  They're not always about appraising (which I am grateful for as I like to think we are not slaves to our jobs).  Thank you for all your incredible donation of knowledge and opinion.  It's been a great year, here's to looking forward to the next.

A nice tribute. I have enjoyed another appraiser's blog, Richard Chandler. I know that he is a member here, but I think the blog that I have been reading is on his own site. I thought that I should give him a mention.

Thank you, Frank - My biggest fear was that I would miss someone.  I will have to look up Richard's blog soon and try to bribe him into posting here :-)

It was a cold and rainy Saturday and I really didn't feel like cleaning the house ...

Its an honor just to be nominated!  WOW!  It's amazing what we will do when we don't feel like doing something else!  ie cleaning house!

And this is a resource for when we can't find those blogs we want to refer to!

Thanks again Sara!  Now go clean your house!  JK

Hi Jeremy - I am queen of procrastination when in comes to housework ;-)

I though it might be a good way to index some of the blogs.  If I get really inspired (and never want to clean again) I could index all of the posts on this group :-)

Hi Michelle - I've pondered hiring a maid service, but I can't imagine someone busily working around me while I'm blogging :-)

Thank you for listing some of the 2007 key topics all in one place. I'm honored to be included in your summation. Here's to 2008. May it be an even better year for us all!

Shane - It sounds like you've been busy doing things aside from blogging ... we can't blame you for that!

Kenneth - It's good to have you around as an active member... I know that you joined at the tail end of 2007 and wasn't sure if that post was created in 2007 or 2008, but either way, you always come up with good topics, and I/we all appreciate it -

Michael - It's good to see you back around, but I understand the need to step away from AR and/or the computer.  Remember books?  Me either.... Keep in touch, my friend.
