No matter if a short sale or not, there are still responsibilities of all involved during a real estate transaction. What’s so hard about being HONEST?   Bottom line, why lie when one has to cover their tracks and use so much energy to back up that lie?

IT ALL COMES OUT IN THE WASH!

It would be my understanding that if we travel through life with good morals, values and beliefs then it is no problem to do so in whatever career choice we choose.  There are no cutting corners in personal or business relationships.

THINKING DRIVES BEHAVIOR!

We have choices and in the Real Estate Industry there are no ifs, ands or buts. We pass on to our clients the services we provide. The biggest part of that service is to give them sound advice and nothing will stand in the way of the honest truth.

WE DON’T TELL THEM WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR!

This market is the hardest I’ve worked to get a transaction to closing. Maybe these situations before me are just tests. Regardless of the hardships that have fallen at ones feet, it behooves me to show them that the right way will have a positive outcome.

BLINDED BY VICTIMSTANCE.

If any of YOU want to be my client, then do NOT stand in my way of giving the best service that I can.  This includes your telling me the whole truth and nothing but the truth regarding your circumstances.  It all comes out in the wash anyway.

If you want to be my client…

DISCLOSE EVERYTHING.

If anything, we ALL will sleep well at night.

Robert: Yup...it comes to bite one in their behind..yes, I got the drift lol

Mike:  Got that right. I suppose they are trying to keep the transaction....interesting?  lol...needless to say, no matter what we get up and try to get everything completed so the transaction closes.

Tammie:  Well, all I can say is that at least you are protected. It would seem that this would not be the kind of client I would want to have anyway.  Then again, protected with an agreement would at least get him to understand that what he signed is a binding contract!

Anna:  And that is my point.  No matter what...it all comes out in the wash.  Either escrow will catch something, loan officer will reveal something and bottom line is...the important things cannot be ignored!

Pat...good one!  YUP...and that IS a fact! 

Nan...it would be nice if we could compliment all our clients for the same :)

Nellie:  What happens if you find something out half way through the transaction that is already in contract?  I bet we all just try and find a solution...and the best of luck to them in the future.

Melissa:  Yup...if one lives by a wonderful code for life...then our code of ethics are not a problem.  Bottom line is that in personal or business relationships...if all are up front then whatever situation it is...we cal all work together to find a solution and work towards that common solution....of closing the deal!

Sis - Besides the honest aspect of it, disclosing everything also avoids pitfalls in the transaction down the road.  Nothing like a good old fashioned secret to totally unhinge a transaction.

It is true, why bother to tell us you are still making your payments. Tell us the truth and we will be more aggressive and recommend different options. You are tying our hands and standing in our way of doing our best work when we are blindsided by something we should have known. Lesson learned.

Sally-That's a good policy to have. It is sometimes tough for people to understand that it is in their best interests to not withhold relevant information from their advocates. And maybe that's part of the problem, they don't always understand what is relevant.
