Stone Cold Frog - Speechless Sunday

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with MoonDancer Realty, Dillsboro,NC NC# 218097

Where did Sunday go? Contract, listings, signs, lockboxes, photos, laundry, groceries and here it is ... almost 12:30.  Maybe that 10pm coffee wasn't such a great idea. Oh well, too late now.

When I showed property a couple of months ago out Cullowhee Mountain Road with another agent...also on a Sunday, come to think of it...I spotted this bit of yard art and have to say, I'm a big admirer of whimsy.

It keeps up with theme no doubt, besides who needs coffee when you got the Sunday night rematch Patriots @ Ravens. The games where me out being a Pats fan from the Baltimore area. I have been wired since 7:30pm.

Hi Mona, I looked at the clock and wondered the same thing. A new listing and new referral with a family coming soon. The day just disappeared and I haven't finished all my post readings.

Hi Mona,

Do you know what you found there?

It's a grist mill grinding stone. Used with a water driven grist mill for grinding wheat and other grains into flour.

That's a really old stone and collectors would go nuts for it.

Have a wonderful week ahead and I hope you get to close on homes this week.

Have a great day and week ahead in Sylva or Dillsboro.

Best. Clint McKie

Good morning Mona. That frog does look stoned! Every once in a while I run into something on a showing that makes me smile. This would have.

Winston, I got a good four hours sleep and am raring to go now!

William, I know - right? Just poof and the day is gone.

Clint, no-I didn't know that and I had no idea that frogs were integral to grist mills.  Interesting, I did wonder where they found a great big ol' flat round stone, lol.

Randy, then I would like showing houses with you.

Wayne, usually coffee doesn't have that effect on me either...don't know what was going on.

Sheila, good to hear from you and glad you liked it.

People with an artistic bent amaze me. Typically, not things I would see or even think of looking for.

Than, maybe you just don't give yourself the chance to see this stuff.  I admit that I'd never have thought of finding the frog in the stones.

Janna, I love little discoveries like this frog.

Pat, I hope he wasn't waiting too long, as you know whimsical stone frogs are pretty social fellows.

William, it must have been the iPad.  lol....you bad!  Have a ribbitful day.
