Things that I more than likely won't be blogging about today..........

Things that I more than likely won't be blogging about today..........since I can't think of a topic this morning.

  • Mickey turns 93 on Friday and there is a birthday celebration planned
  • My standard gift to her for every celebration:  lottery tickets and a bag filled with her favorite snack foods
  • My Thursday with Mickey will not take place this week unfortunately
  • My friend Dan's wake is on Thursday and his funeral is Friday morning
  • Bathroom tear out at my cousins house started on Monday and is going well
  • The couch ordered in May for another cousin is finally completed and is being delivered next week.  Window treatments and a kitchen table are next on the agenda
  • Ellen and Mike are in town for Yom Kippur and I am having breakfast with them on Thursday morning before they head back to Cincinnati
  • Pamela Anderson was the first "star" eliminated from DWTS Allstar Show
  • My top choices so far on DWTS are Gilles Marini, Apolo Anton Ono, Kelly Monaco and Emmitt Smith

If I think of anything to blog about, I'll be back later, but I have a feeling this may be it for today.

In the inimitable words of Mickey......."We'll see"  which always meant "NO WAY!"

Roger,  Boy you are just so OUT of topics to write about.  I wish I had your writer's block, lol.  I am not tuning in to DWTS this year.  I am so excited about all the new shows starting though.  How fun is that.  We've been watching the Voice and there just isn't enough DVR slots to catch it all.

Hi Roger... while the wake on the Thursday will be sad, glad you'll have Mickey's 93rd Birthday to ease the pain. Best wishes to Mickey for some good years ahead.

HaPpY BiRtHdAy to our beloved Mickey!!!

As for DWTS....I agree with you on the favorites.  I was looking forward to seeing Drew again (loved the Ride a Cowboy dance) but he was disappointing this time around.  Pam deserved to go...would love to see someone give that girl a makeover!

Lets shake things up at your home today!
Shaken...with a Twist 216.633.2092

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes for Mickey, I will pass them on to her.  This morning I picked up her lottery tickets and the stuff for her goodie bag.  Mickey loves both red and black licorice, so that was a must.  Then she puts out candy and snacks when they play cards, so I got chips, pretzels, cheese puffs, trail mix, m&m's, miniature butterfingers, reese's pieces and I can't even remember what else, but it filled a big bag, she will be thrilled.

Then I went to an Italian import store and picked up lots of Manicotti, Eggplant Parmesan, Breaded Veal Cutlets, Sausage, Meatballs, Italian Bread and Cannoli and Angel Wings for friends and family and went to Jean Ann's house.  She had only had coffee for breakfast, so we had a great lunch together and when Rae came home she joined us.  Afterward the three of us went over some details for the wake and funeral.

After the conversation I had with both of them, the tension between them seems to be gone.  They both actually laughed a few times today over several things they didn't quite agree on, but they agreed to disagree.  One was the suit Danny would be wearing, so Jean Ann picked the suite and Rae picked the shirt and tie..........everybody's happy.

DWTS.......so glad Pamela Anderson is gone.......she needs a total make-over.  Drew was a disappointment, Gilles is amazing and I'm still sticking with my top four.

I'm exhausted.  I think I'm going to pour myself a scotch on the rocks and relax a bit in front of the TV.

Roger, make sure to give Mickey a big Active Rain Happy Birthday from all of us.  She might wonder who all those AR folks are, but make sure to tell her she has a fan club online.  She'll want a new laptop for Christmas.  8=)

I'm sorry you are missing your Thursday with Mickey date this week.  My daddy loved scratch off tickets and beer. That was what he wanted for his birthday. Now TPM -- it was all about going "together" and picking something out. It was more about the time spent than the gift. We typically picked her out a new outfit. She is a GIRLIE-GIRL!

Tell Micky your Texas Gal and TPM wish her the happiest birthday EVER!! ♥ ♥ ♥
