Thank you!  I actually got the idea from Suzanne McLaughlin, I saw she had shared similar information for her local area.

There is a drug "takeback program near me in Monticello this weekend.  We took advantage earlier in the year at the Senior Center.

You are well on your way to meeting your goal, too, I see.

Joy, what a great idea!  There are fish in some of our rivers who are developing very strangely from ingesting stuff like birth control pills and other stuff full of hormones that fish don't need!

I have never thought of pills winding up in our rivers as PAtricia suggest would have thought they would disolve. Do they gt properlyy disposed of or sold to 3rd world countries.

Hi Kahty, the website is a National Website - so if you go there I believe you will be able to find a local drop.

I never thought of having pills wind up in fish either (as Charles mentions) but it certainly does make sense if the disposal isn't done properly.  Great point Patricia!

Probably most of the pills disolve, but if enough disolve in a certain area at a certain time, fish would still absorb the chemicals I would think?  Yes, the pills that are turned in are probably disposed of and not sold to 3rd world countries.  There is good info on the website.
