Just My Photos – Not Going South!

Wordless Wednesday

Flying South for the Winter? Nope ... NOT me!

Lately, many birds are headed in a southerly direction over the Hudson Valley. Since the middle of August I have witnessed them in flight. Always using their inner GPS, they instinctively travel in "V" formation and head south in pursuit of a warmer climate.  Geese and DucksWhile the cold and snow, embraces New York, those birds will be basking in warmth during our cold winter months. Not all birds need to leave…..

My friends are staying here with me… fair weather friends they are not.

Some of the Canadian geese in our area have been staying for the winter as well as we've had milder ones.
