The Delray Beach Green Market- New Location/Still Fresh!

The Delray Beach Green Market will begin its 16th season this Saturday, delray beach green market October 13th at a new location.... Old School Square Park on N.E. 2nd Avenue.

The opening of our Green Market in Delray Beach is a signal that the season is here!  It’s the perfect venue for shopping from our local producers.... whether it’s fresh Florida fruits and vegetables; homemade soaps, local honey, flowers, baked goods, orchids and other fresh locally produced items.

And, if you’re planning your day, add some time to hit my favorite.. Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.

Here are just a few of my favorite places:

Nutrition Cottage  407 E. Atlantic Ave.  561-272-8571
Kilwins 402 E.Atlantic Ave.  561-278-0808 (chocolates)

The Green Owl  330 E. Atlantic Ave. 561-272-7766 (breakfast)

Nothing as tasty and refreshing as a stroll through a green market with the best and freshest local produce.

That's it, Kathy, I'm moving to Florida.  We're having our first cold snap here in the valley, and the farmer's markets are slowly disappearing.  It's sad to see them go, but since Fall is my favorite season I can say goodbye with less sadness.

I agree with Mike... cool weather has me wanting to fly south and never look back... Too bad my clients are here! Great info for the locals in Delray to find the market. Local is always better!

Kathy-I love going to farmers markets. Ours are winding down and yours are just getting started. I am glad for the cooler weather. It is a brisk 45* with high of 48* today. I love it to work out in my garden planting for next spring.

Sounds wonderful.  All our "fresh" veggies are about done for the season but the Apples are great!

Dorie- it really makes Atlantic Avenue buzz and means the season is here.

Gabe- I love being able to buy produce that's grown right here!

Mike- Many of our snowbirds will come down after theyu've had a chance to see the beautiful leaves.

Janis- come on down!  well... at least for a long weekend..then you can get back to work!

Sharon- oh, that's just too cold for me.

BARFF- i know!  I love that you can go and mingle and just hang out for a bit.. great way to get outside and get some exercise.

Bobbie- I just tried a "fall" apple yesterday and it was perfect.

Joanna-the colder it is the more congested I-95 gets.

Kathy- there will be outdoor activities every week now.

Jeffrey- and maybe some will want to buy a permanent home??!!!

Kristin- it's fun to see what's fresh and try to use those items for your meals.

Scott- this is when I start to buy apples.  Love them and may even try an apple pie.

Hi Kathy, you had me at "Green Market," no surprise right?  The Delray Beach Green Market looks like a great one and I'd be all over it if I lived in the area. Buy local and fresh - and organic if you can. That's my motto.

It is 32 degrees outside and blustery.  Your season of freshness at the Green Market sounds pretty inviting right about now, Kathy Streib!
