The 55th Annual Deep South Fair comes to Thomasville this week. Beginning tomorrow, October 9th, 2012, the Thomasville Exchange Club will be hosting five days of fair fun for everyone. Whether its arts and crafts, agricultural animals, fair food or carnival rides you enjoy, the Deep South Fair has something for you.
The midway attractions at Thomasville Exchange Club Fairgrounds, such as the ferris wheel, other rides and games, will be open all week as will the arts and crafts and commercial exhibits. The demolition derby takes place Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:30pm. Gates will open at 5:30pm. A free petting zoo will be open during the entire five days as well. Baked goods and handmade arts and crafts will compete against one another by Fair judges. Winners will receive ribbons as well as prize money.
Regular admission to the Deep South Fair in Thomasville is $5 per person ages 6 and older on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Saturday is Kids Day. That means that kids under 18 years old will get in for free from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. The Demolition Derby is just $6 per person, with kids under 6 getting in for free. Gates will open at 5:30pm on Tuesday and Thursday for the Demolition Derby.
