Keeping it Fresh with Leilani Souza

This week's Keeping it Fresh is brought to you by Leilani Souza

How long have you been in business?

I got my real estate license 13 1/2 years ago and have been a broker since February 2002.

What outfit do you own that makes you feel invincible?

I don't have one particular outfit that gives me this feeling, but wearing any of my shoes with 5" heels do seem to give me an air of confidence...maybe because I'm only 5'3". Even my patent leather boots with 4" heels that I'm wearing in this photo make me smile. :)

What is the biggest fashion faux pas you've ever made?

Hmmm...wearing white after Labor Day?

What celebrity is your style doppelganger?

I don't keep up with celebrity styles, but since I watch Sons of Anarchy, Gemma would be my "biker" style doppelganger. If there's a celebrity out there who is diverse enough to wear yoga attire, biker bling, sundresses and jeans/jean shorts on a regular basis, then she would probably be my style doppelganger. :)

Best Fashion Advice?

Let your clothes represent YOU, not the other way around. Don't be afraid of trying new things and don't be afraid to admit when a garment simply doesn't work for you, whether it's due to the color, fit or age-appropriateness. Last, but not least, choose the attire that fits the occasion. I wouldn't dream of wearing one of my yoga outfits on a motorcycle ride, nor would I venture out to look at a piece of raw land wearing 5" heels!

As I'm also under 5'4" that made me laugh.  I used to feel more confident in heals, now I just feel comfortable in sneakers.

A biker chick on AR... love it! Leilani sounds like a woman with a very diverse personality... looks like she's having some fun.  Good for her.

Well, I didn't know Leilani was a biker chick.  She is certainly a force to be reckoned with on that machine.

Kerrie,

I love this series and I totally agree sometimes I see people in 5" heels walking lots and I think what "an idiot" so I totally agree with Leilani!

Thanks for the feature, Kerrie...and thanks to everyone for stopping by and commenting. :)

Leilani

P.S. Tammy, even though I'm more confident in heels, I'd much rather walk around barefoot or in slippers...perhaps because I'm from Hawaii. :)

I like Leilani's advice - "let your clothes represent you..." so true! I also feel pretty good wearing 4 inch heels, but walking in them is a  different story, lol. I always say if your going to wear it, own it and rock it with confidence - that's always the best look!  Love this series Kerrie!

Great feature of Leilani, she has a lot to offer those in the Placer and Sacramento County area.
