This seems to be a trend. A.C. Electrical connections.

More and more I am finding a lot of these electrical flexible conduits coming loose or burned up from the weather and sun.

It would seem that the manufacturers would have done the research and found that the condiut will not hold up to the harsh treatment of the sun and weather.

The connection nuts are falling off. This has been found on a number of homes.

Conduit nut loose and not connected.

Notice the burned look on the conduit? It's from the sun beating down on the flexible conduit.

The buyer tried to reinstall the conduit and nut but it just would not go back on.

It makes you think that "how many more of these are fallig off all over the country".

Have a great day every one.

Clint, if people used common sense, an inspection would not be necessary! Keep up the good work!

Hi Tom,

No duct tape here just old fashioned connectors that should stay where they are put.

Have a good day in California.

Hi James,

You have Uncle Bob's number? I'm shocked. LOL

Maybe he has been doing repairs in your part of the country lately.

Have a good day in Rogers my friend.

Hey Conrad,

There are a lot of these out there. Maybe I needed to title the post "ARE YOUR NUTS FALLING OFF"?

Then there would have been a really big following. LOL

Have a great day and week ahead in Webster.

Hi Wayne,

This was a really well maintained home. But there were a couple small issues that needed to get mentioned in the report.

Over all the home was in great shape. Of course it better be for a $400 K home.

Have a wonderful day in Fort Myers.

Hello Toni,

So this is going on in Florida too?

Maybe there needs to be a recall of these types of connectors. Who knows.

Have a quiet and restful day in New Port Richey.

New plastic components don't seem to be as  good as the old classic rigid conduit. The designers did not expect or plan for stress conditions. So is the conduit clamped or attached in a manner that supports it or has it been left there to hang off of the box?

The heat damage suggests the product hasn't the longevity required for the conditions.

Gotta say I have never seen this.  Could be I'm where the sun don't shine...  Sorry.

Certainly nothing that can't be fixed with a Pretty Kitty band aid.

Hi Robert,

You are exactly right. Way too much plastic where plastic should not be. Too much sun and it will warp the plastic making it unusable.

Thanks for the comment and have a great day.

Hi Jay,

Maybe it's the heat. We are in a very hot climate and it routinely gets over 100 all the tine.

As far as the Kitty band aid.

Have a good day my friend.
