Life is fleeting. We all know it. We know people who have lost loved ones, both human and fur babies. We've had losses at work and great triumphs. We've felt great happiness and heartbreaking sadness. With the limited amount of time we have on earth, why do we fuss and bother over things that do not matter?
There's a blog post out there that is berating a friend of mine. His character is being called into question and he's being very quiet about it but I know it must be bothering him. In the comments, the writer said that he "just woke up today and knew that that today was the day to finally post what I wrote months ago".
Really? With all the good things he could have done with his time this lovely fall day, with all the chores he could have accomplished, great books he could have read, loved ones he could have hugged, he chose to spend his time tearing someone down over a slight that he didn't experience. The slight was amended immediately and apologies sent to the injured party. Not good enough for this fellow. He wants blood. Nothing short of the offender being drawn and quartered will do. He's hiding behind self-righteous indignation when what he's really doing is being petty and mean.
What a waste of time. Truly. We should all feel sorry for someone who spends time tearing others down when so many folks need a hand up. I'm not wasting anymore time on this, just had to say my piece.
