Final Frost Dates - Middle Tennessee...

After what seems to be a long awaited event, warm temps are finially starting to come to the middle Tennessee area.
This weekend, those with green and/or brown thumbs will be hitting the garden shops in droves hoping to get a jump on the spring planting season. Be wary about setting out tender annuals though. The last "Safe Frost" date in the middle Tennessee area is April 10. However; frost can be expected as late as April 24. So if you do set out tender annuals, be prepared to protect them.

Good morning Michael,

I love the rich color of your flowers especially in contrast to the dark green foliage! Great advice especially with how Mother Nature is throwing out her chilly surprises all over the country!

Hi Michael,

I think we are done with the frost warnings. But it has still been really cold at night. We usually plant the garden around Easter, But this year we are a month behind. But that's O.k. by me.

Have a good day in Brentwood, Tennessee my friend.

Best, Clint McKie

Not me... I cover nothing, if my plants aren't tough enough to fend for themselves they don't belong in my yard! Luckily, we don't get too many frost events here in Florida.
