Math Poem for Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day to Everyone and Remember Your Special Sweetie!

I thought my life was going as planned,

Parallel, congruent, and right,

Until I met you,

My supplement,

My perfect square.

But now I don't seem to know acute from obtuse,

Alternate from consecutive,

I find myself thinking of your proportional smile,

Rather than the Pythagorean theorem,

Our lives are perpendicular,

Each point has lead to our intersection.

I hope you can see through my skewed logic,

And realize the potential of our congruent love.

Just a gentle reminder to not forget that Valentines Day is this week.  Enjoy!

Very nice, Karen!  You are going to fit in quite nicely here (Dead Rainers).  Of course, now I feel like I need to figure out what to rhyme with rhombus, trapezoid and parallelogram for my next effort!  Thanks for the post, and welcome to our motley corner of AR.

Hi Karen,

YOur poem was highlighted by Carrie.

I read it for the first time.

It has a unique quality to it that makes it endearing

Karen- I got here from when Carrie highlighted you.   Very cute poem.   My daughter is in 4th grade and she is starting basic alegebra and sometimes I find myself overwhelmed.  If I am not mistaken, I did not start algebra until 9th or 10th grade.   It is amazing what our children our learning now a days.
