2 Average Joes Makes Its Official Publishing Debut For Playing Mount Dora Golf Club

By
Mortgage and Lending with Mortgage Financial Group, Inc

Last month, I wrote a post about how to use Localism to get a free round of golf and free publicity.

Well, as they say the proof is in the pudding.  Two weeks ago, I met an editor-in-chief at one of my networking groups that expressed interest in my concept.  After expressing interest about the paper she works for, she asked me to forward one of my reviews.  The paper that she works for is called the "Homesteader".  It is a direct mail newsletter that is sent out monthly to all new homeowners in the Lake County area.

Perfect plug for me... especially if someone just got their home and went to the closing with a bait and switch broker/lender.  In fact, I am also the only one in the mortgage industry in the newsletter.  Just because they bought a house and have a new mortgage does not make them any less of a potential client.

Here is the posting from the newsletter:

Oh, we did get the plug for our companies.  It is at the end of the article in bold print.  Sorry that you cannot read the actual article because I had to shrink it down to make it fit.  If you want to read the post, it is also listed here in AR and on Localism.  Visit the 19th Hole or click here.

In addition to the publication, 2 Average Joes just officially released its website, www.2averagejoesgolf.com.  While the site is still under construction, it is does have a home page and history page.  The site has already seen at least 20 visitors since its official posting to the Internet 2 days ago.  Not bad for not being completely up and running or even being advertised.

I'll keep it clean.

I have a very cute head cover for my driver.  His name is Rudy and he is a raccoon.  I named him after Rudy Giuliani,  who I've liked for a very long time. (Even before 9-11)

I might consider a Marc cover if it was as cute as my raccoon.

My rear?... I was thinking about putting your pic on the top of club grip and a pic of your butt on the club head, around the grip (symbolic of the neck) the saying "Grip Hard Here". :)

Chris, our wonderful caddy, can have a shirt that says something along the lines of her wiping our clubs and balls after each round... or she something saying that she makes sure that we are using the right club for the shot.

What are your ideas for "Caddy" products?

Treo Comment: Middle seat, Frontier stinks like last years Easter's eggs. You can't plan air travel like this. I bet the in flight snack is prunes. It seems to be a charter from Vegas a whole bunch of people pooling their money to watch tv. Three hours, three flippin hours. Jason....sorry about the post "commandeer" I am not going to type the other word when I'm on a plane.

Chris,

Have a safe flight back... no prblem.  Think of some great products to sell.  I am going to add in the "Cool Caddy" product line, too.

I never even heard of Frontier - sounds like a great way to travel.

How were the prunes?

Apparently Frontier punishes passengers that buy their tickets on Orbitz.  Buyer beware/punished.  I just love prunes, LOL.

Alright, I waited until after Ski season was over and I wouldn't be flying (and put in a terrorist database) but I sent a letter to the President of Frontier Airlines and expressed my concerns about the Orbitz debacle, etc.  Guess what!  I receive two round trip tickets in the mail Saturday!  Tada!

Congrats on the free tickets... sorry it took so long to get back to you on this.  Hey, if I thought of it sooner, I could have invited you to the lake house for a get away.  :)
