My Competition

By
Real Estate Agent with Iron Horse Properties, LLC
I'm going to make this short and sweet,  I LOVE MY COMPETITION.  They make me want to work so hard.  If you take the word "competition" for its meaning then it is a great motivator.  To compete with another in the same field, and try to be the best is most fun I have ever had in my professional career.  To know that I have to wake up every day and see what I need to do to give me the competitive edge is a great reason to go to work everyday.  Other than serving my clients, my competition is a major motivator in my daily life.  I think I'll call the competition in the morning and thank them for what they do.  Shouldn't you do the same?

I agree with your philosophy.  At the office we are a team although we compete with each other.  (It's a healthy competition.)  But, meeting fellow real estate agents from different offices is rewarding as well. Agents from different real estate teams send me emails of new properties they just listed.  Staying on top of new homes on the market is a must. You can always expect clients to fall in love with an inner office  listing. Networking with agents to compete with other agents is the new black.  I am always looking at my competitors and analysis what they do and what they are not doing.  And, improving myself, there are many real estate agents that have a full-time job and doing real estate on the side. Then, there are a handful that are full-time agents as ourselves that made it through with our competitive spirit.

Marc, great attitude! Competition is what makes the world go around. Without competitors, who would sell our properties. Competition is healthy. There is more than enough business to go around.

Great Post!
