The view from up here is amazing, and I want you to see it for yourself!  Reaching the 100k milestone I realized something very important, that I don't think a lot of the members get here.  So I am going to challenge all members to prove me wrong, that you do get it!  Writing is not the enemy - inaction is.

Blogging is a Muscle?  Yes it is.  To become strong, muscles need to be exercised on a regular basis.   Yesterday so many people commented that they could never get as popular as the top members here.  Well I am living proof that statement is wrong.   How is it that I am all of a sudden a great writer and one of the top in this system?  I wrote my heart out on every possible subject until I found my niche.   I took criticism from those that were ahead of me and I have learned so much from the many members here.  If it weren't for people like Kristal Kraft, Teri Isner and Maureen Francis reaching out, pulling me up along with them I may have gotten very discouraged.  So in honor of them, I am reaching down to help others achieve it as well. 

 Yes I had it easy in my apprenticeship here, when I started we were only about 1,000 members, there were 20 or 30 new posts a day to read, I heard from somewhere that they are averaging about 300 posts each day now!  We are quickly approaching 20,000 members.  Don't let that stop you! 

Now that I have reached my goal of a 100,000 points, I have a new goal.  You could say it is a mission really.  To get others writing here.  This platform is for you!  You will only get out of it what you put into it.  Kristal Kraft did a great post on push vs. pull marketing awhile back that inspired me.  What you put out here is to be discovered by the consumer when they need it.  That might be today, tomorrow or next year.  Be the one putting the information out there.  It will pay off.  But like all good marketing you will need to invest some time and energy into it.   Why else would there be 8 x8 and 33 touch campaigns?

Don't look at it like going to the dentist!  Approach it like you would going to the playground with sense of adventure and joy!

Just think, my referral network before Active Rain consisted of my broker's GRI directory from the prior year, and Internet searches that I would do.  Today I have working relationships with Realtors, Mortgage Brokers, Appraisers and Stagers around the country.  I know that if I need someone in another area I can utilize this network to find the right person.  Consumers are finding not only me but others in this network. 

I have found my voice and my strength.  My writing has improved and I now look forward to writing.   So here is my challenge to newer and those members that have been lurking in the shadows:

Start today!  Take my challenge and start writing each day!  Today, I would love it if as a tribute to cooperation and unity that each writer here takes my challenge and write on a condo or community in your area.  For inspiration check out the series I have written on Angler's Cove or Gulfview.  Add them to Localism, and in the TAGS place Soaring Challenge and I will keep an eye out for them in the next couple of days. 

I know you will be happy you did!   This is a win-win, you get to write about your area, exercise your muscle and start the climb to soar like those of us up here already.  The sky is wide open and we are waiting for you to soar right along with us!

By the way, yesterday I had a listing appointment where the seller's said, "You're all over the internet".  I asked if they found the website or the blogs....and it was both.   

The seller's were "thorough" sort-of people.  They eventually asked about license/license abuse and how to check. I provided the www.myfloridallicense.com state licensure website, plus www.Fl.Living.net and www.BonitaSpringsRealtors.com our local board site.  I'd never been asked for the info before and thought it would be a way to offer transparency to a seller.  It's in my listing presentation from now on.

Joan -- don't be afraid, there is so much to be gained here.

Rob -- The number of points you have seems to less important.  Where the true benefit from this site is your participation.  The more I seem to put out there the more that I seem to get back.   Right now I am finding great number of business contacts and the professional networking has been absolutely priceless.  

George -- I have gained clients from this, both listing and buyer.  My market right now is not very active right now, so I know that the $ will follow.   As a result of this site I have changed my focus and attentions as of late, so I should start to see financial benefits in the near future.  

Ardell -- I am seeing more Realtor referrals come my way and since that is my focus to being part of this I am very happy with that.   I also see the public seeing my consumer content and increased traffic from my website.

Mario -- Thank you!

Chris -- Great idea!   If you don't mind I think I will add it to mine!

I started here a couple months ago. I wish more people in my area would write blogs like yours. Seems like everyone is after the points and their ranking on the page. Some people will post just about anything. I think it defeats the purpose, But I find myself trying to keep up. I have watched the quality of information I am posting suffer and I don't like it.

I hope it will all shake out in the end. I think when a potential customer reads someones useless blog, it will paint a true picture of who they really dealing with.

Grant -- The consumer is not stupid -- they know quality when they see it.  Post quality local content consistently you will be rewarded.  The consistency thing is the most important thing.

Eloise -- you said it the best except one thing.  When I started I hated writing.  It was this huge mountain that I thought I could never overcome.  I never thought I would be good at it.   I started writing and there were several that encouraged me.  The more I worte, the better I was getting the more networking and in that it has changed everything for me.   It took some encouragement for me to feel safe to explore this aspect of myself and I will forever be grateful to those that have done that for me.  So now I found my niche -- that to assist others find their voice and niche.

Since I am not the writer that you have become, I will say DITTO to exactly what Eloise Gift wrote, and wrote it very nicely too.

I do remember when you started and how you felt at first. How everyone who has never blogged before feels when they get here.

You have proved that it can be done. Your blogs are now well read and subscribed to. I notice a lot of people asking about what blogging has done for your leads. I think that what blogging has done for your own self esteem and the way you turned out to be a quality writer is worth more than leads! And if Active Rain is really working then the leads will be coming.

Congratulations for your well deserved 100th post!
