Is there no end to the bad listing photos? Give me a break, already.

I just couldn't resist sharing this with you all.

While searching the mls for a couple I'm working with, I found yet another bad, bad photo. The supply seems to be never-ending--Sarah, are you there?

cluttered kitchen

Here's a lovely kitchen shot of a home for sale. Do your very best to look past all of the distractions to uncover the kitchen of your buyer's dreams. Never mind the listing agents' handbag and paperwork on the table, Spot's bushy tail in the lower right corner, or the tons of clutter on the counter (hmm, that counter's not as big as I thought afterall...). Just try your darndest to focus on the best features of the room (tilting head sideways, squinting eyes...).

Perhaps the giftbag on the table contains a coupon for Merry Maids???

Is that a faucet in the chair???

Calling all Stagers. Stagers, are you there...?

Though we are not professional photographers, Realtors need to at least try to get a decent photo!  I take as many as possible and sift through them to post the best ones.  If the lighting isn't good one day, go back and resubmit.

LOL!!!  But seriously, poor sellers... I came across a few this week too. A beautiful old victorian full of clutter and boxes. The other one had ok shots, until you came to the living room pic which had a little boy jumping off the couch!! Too funny.

When I think of a bad photo, I think of the quality of the photography...out of focus, wrong perspective, not enough light, etc.

This is a problem with the ROOM and the lack of preparation on the seller and Realtor's part. Yikes!

Where in the world is this listing? If it's within driving distance of Denver, Colorado I'm there.

WOW! I actually have a house listed that the ONLY photo I could post was the exterior photo. The house is tenant occupied, and it's a lovely home, but it is CRAMMED full of stuff.

I even tried to tell the owner of the home in the most tactful way that I could that perhaps we should try to arrange or at least attempt to organize the 3 year newspaper collection that their tenant had managed to save - but...no luck.

Even with a 24 hour notice, I am dreading(!) having a walk through with a potential buyer. I guess the owner of the home will be more willing to try to coax the tenant in being more cooperative if (when) the house sits for a while...

Great Find!

I thought you had posted a photo of a second hand store.  Wow, there's a lot of stuff in there.  Gives new meaning to "understated elegance."
