|It is amazing how when you own your own business and it is all up to you to market yourself to the public, you tend to hang on to every little inkling of positive reaction to what you are doing. It seems like weekly, I get a Realtor who applauds my home staging business and says that they are going to definetely use me for every one of their listings and they think that this is a great way to add to their business... and then I wait for their call and I wait and wait and the phone does not ring. I get so excited about another lead only to feel let down and wonder what happened. I eventually hear back from them, later, sometimes way later, which makes me realize that I think about getting their business way more than they think about using my business skills. They have more to think about than just my home staging, like all of their clients and their paperwork. In all of these up and down moments in my career, I am learning to be patient and realize that if I keep plugging away and don't worry about everyone jumping on my band wagon TODAY, eventually, people will remember what I offer when they stumble upon a listing that really needs help and the calls will come.|
